Posture and Attitude

Right off the bat, and by far the easiest way to have an impact on your physical appearance is your wardrobe. But probably the most important thing you can do is to shift your attitude from one of inferiority to superiority. Why on earth should you feel inferior to someone? You probably have lots of more qualities that lots of of your taller friends or colleagues. They no doubt will have their own insecurities going on inside their heads; you think they don't, purely because they are a few inches taller.

Well do you? Do you need to look taller? If the answer's 'yes', then there's things you can do to help yourself as of right now, today, this second...

Wardrobe

So, back to your wardrobe. While you may be drawn to the latest fashion fads, trust me on this, you do not need to go there. Instead, you need to be wearing suits and outfits which are all one block color, and preferably a darker shade. Black is fine (but severe for some people), navy is classic and looks nice on most people and dark grey can also be flattering. Pinstripes are also nice (avoid stripes going 'across' the body at all costs).

Shoes are a great way to add instant height; if you are female, then go for heels (pick more elegant styles in a neutral color); whatever sex you may be, avoid clunky oversized shoes - they will 'nothing' for you whatsoever. Don't forget your hair - go for a style which adds height - and avoid like the plague flat styles with your hair stuck to your head; it is a no brainer but worth saying anyhow!

Avoid patterns as these tend to make you look shorter. Go for longer trousers (as in they cover your shoe and don't stop at the ankle), go for longer skirts or dresses and longer coats - you don't need lines that finish up above the knee or mid calf - these are all fashion trends that you will make you 'look' shorter than you actually are. Make sure your socks or tights match your shoe color and trouser/skirt color - makes you look longer.

Now posture is very important. Not for the sake of your appearance and making you look taller but also from a health point of view. Look after your back now and in years to come you'll have less chance of spinal problems (including shrinking of the spine, which again, 'will' definitely cost you inches in later life).

Posture

Attitude

Last but not least is attitude. As mentioned as the start of this editorial, attitude is everything. Tell yourself each day all of your nice points, be positive and be determined to accomplish your goals. You may not be able to go out and buy one extra inches today but as you have seen here, there 'are' sure things you can do to favorably enhance your height. Likewise, do 'not' permit a lack of inches prevent you from reaching your goals and desires in life. Final word - positivity is 'key' and with that one trait, you can accomplish anything you put your mind to.
